Where can we fish salmon? its not worth it in Lake huron anymore....something should be done to restore the salmon/alewive population. Even if we did have a healthy Lake Trout fishery trust me when I say "no one will spend even a 10th of the money on Lake Trout" As a charter boat captain for over 20 years and I am also in the fishing lure business I can tell you that no one want's Lake Trout from the Great Lakes! How can you try to enhance a fishery without controlling commecial fishing or the "C" word CORMORANTS! If the commercial fishermen are netting up the adult Lake Trout then we can never have a healthy Lake Trout fishery. Even if we did have a healthy Lake Trout fishery trust me when I say “no one will spend even a 10th of the money on Lake Trout”
As a charter boat captain for over 20 years and I am also in the fishing lure business I can tell you that no one want’s Lake Trout from the Great Lakes!
